Every three years, equipment manufacturers, technical experts, product specialists, construction managers and operators gather at the largest trade show in North America: CONEXPO-CON/AGG. This year, RDO Equipment Co. team members are working to bring the most up-to-date information about how the equipment and technology unveiled will impact the industry and, most importantly, your business.
Discover what our manufacturing partners will showcase — and how this technology and equipment will affect the way we work in 2023.
Smart and Sustainable Equipment
Two global powerhouses, John Deere and WIRTGEN GROUP are focused on creating smarter, safer, more sustainable equipment. In conjunction with the WIRTGEN GROUP, for the first time, John Deere will share innovative production systems, plus updates about electrification and Gen C Excavators.
John Deere and WIRTGEN GROUP will showcase more than 60 machines. You’ll see the breadth of expertise and experience in roadbuilding, aggregate, underground infrastructure, site development production systems and more.
RDO team members will be there to cover it all. Senior Vice President of Equipment Dennis Howard will visit booths and exhibits for episodes of The Track. This high-paced and informative web show brings together operators, manufacturers, experts and more. With more than 20 years of experience, Howard knows how these innovations could affect your equipment business’ bottom line.
You can expect to see the latest in road paving equipment like WIRTGEN cold milling machines. These small milling machines, like the W35XRi and W50Ri, efficiently remove asphalt and concrete pavements and reduce job costs. In fact, these newer milling machines are expected to have tighter tolerances and maintain high production rates.
Efficiency-Focused Equipment
Vermeer, a leader in the utility installation market, will highlight equipment for infrastructure projects like pipeline installation, specialty excavation and alternative energy markets, including wind and solar technology.
Manufacturers are focusing on bringing more agile and efficient machines to optimize infrastructure productivity and land-clearing jobs. The Vermeer team has responded with machines that will be equipped to do more. Here are a few of the many pieces of equipment that will be showcased at CONEXPO:
Connected Support for Machines
Technology is becoming more important. The 2023 industry outlook reports technology is now a “must-do” for contractors. In fact, throughout last year, most companies cited a significant increase in technological integration into existing machines and the purchase of new machines with new technology. Remote support for heavy equipment has helped operators keep up and running as technology experts can troubleshoot with operators in real time.
At this year’s CONEXPO conference, we will capture the latest from machine monitoring software like Topcon GPS positioning systems and other three-pronged communications tools which connect operators to experts and engineers.
