The R.D. Offutt Company and RDO Equipment Co. internal Wellness team announced the results of the fourth annual pink hat breast cancer fundraiser for National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF). Thanks to support from team members across the RDO network, proceeds from the sales of this year’s line of branded pink hats totaled $41,344. In addition, NBCF accepted donation of the remainder of last year’s hats for a total 2020 contribution of $52,320.
Throughout the fall, the special pink RDO hats were available to team members in exchange for a $10 donation. Continuing what’s become a yearly tradition, members of the RDO Equipment Co. – McKinney team presented the check in-person to NBCF representatives at the McKinney store in December.
Donations are used to help breast cancer patients navigate the often complex treatment process, increase the availability of educational resources, fund early screening and detection services, provide HOPE Kits – filled with thoughtful items to soothe side effects of treatment – and much more.
“We are so amazed and grateful for the continued support from the RDO family,” said Michelle Romanczukiewicz, NBCF Strategic Partnerships Manager. “We look forward to making an impact each year and seeing what 2021 brings.”
In just four years, the campaign has raised an overall total of more than $167,000 for NBCF.
“It has been amazing to watch how this campaign has grown over the past four years and we look forward to next year,” said Terri Hanson, HR Systems & Projects Manager and leader of the company’s Wellness team.
