The first week of December, a team from manufacturers Mazzotti and Hagie traveled to Salinas, CA to put on a technical training with more than 50 RDO Equipment Co. team members in the Southwest Region. During the week, Product Specialists and members of the sales teams were able to conduct some customer visits and field demos with the team from Mazzotti, making the event a valuable one for team members and customers alike.
The training was held at the Salinas Rodeo grounds, which offered space for both operating machines and conducting in-class training. The combination of hands-on and technical learning allowed team members the chance to improve the knowledge needed to optimize and repair these machines to best suit each customer's needs.
Technology was a major focus of the training. The team learned ways to utilize technological tools such as JDLink, 4640 Display, Starfire 6000 receiver, Autotrac 300 controller, and section control to support customers in making sound, data-driven decisions to help them increase efficiency and productivity.
RDO customer Nutrien Ag Solutions, one of the first to purchase a Mazzotti IBIS sprayer, provided a field demo, helping to find a location to run a machine in a field condition and show some of its capabilities, giving the RDO team a first-hand look at ways to conduct future customer demos.
On top of the many great learning opportunities, RDO team members enjoyed the chance to build relationships with the Mazzotti and Hagie teams and using the time to strengthen the connection with these manufacturing partners.
