  • How does RDO promote a safe shop environment?

    The safety of our team members is our top priority. To ensure safety, every team member receives regular safety training and is supplied with proper personal protective equipment.

  • What will my pay be?

    As an RDO service technician, you will earn an hourly wage that’s competitive within your market. Your wage will vary depending on your level of experience and the job type. We also offer a quarterly profit-sharing program that is based on department and personal performance.

  • Is there overtime potential?

    Yes, RDO service technicians may have access to overtime hours. This fluctuates based on the workload of each store.  

  • How will I be supported?

    In addition to your manager and the leadership at your store, you will be supported by various departments within our dedicated field support office.

  • Does RDO offer any tool incentives or reimbursements?

    RDO offers a tool program for new technicians through our Access Your Future internship/apprenticeship program. We also have a tool reimbursement program for every full-time RDO technician.

  • What benefits does RDO offer?

  • Does RDO offer any company-paid training?

    The training at RDO never stops. Not only will you receive ongoing safety training, you’ll also complete training certifications from brands like John Deere, Vermeer, Wirtgen and Topcon. RDO also has an in-house training program to help technicians develop their skills and technical abilities.

  • Does RDO have a career path for technicians?

    Yes! Through our career path levels, you can progress from service apprentice to service technician level 4.

  • Does RDO have a path for growth outside of the shop?

    It’s not uncommon for people to start at RDO in one of our service shops and then transition to another role, whether it's in the field or another part of our organization.

  • What will I be working on?

    As a technician at RDO, you’ll work on new and used equipment from one, or many, of our manufacturer partners. These are John Deere Construction, John Deere Agriculture, Vermeer, Wirtgen and Topcon. The equipment you work on will change based on your location.

  • What is the hiring process?

    Generally, our hiring process includes a completed application, 1-2 in-person interviews (usually the first is with the hiring manager, the second is with a panel) and a role-fit assessment. This process may be shorter or longer, depending on the situation. All offers are contingent on a favorable drug screening and background check.

  • What is RDO's work uniform policy?

    All RDO service technicians receive uniforms and laundering services. RDO technicians get the option to choose between jeans or work pants. Additionally, you’ll receive an annual allowance for work boots.
