As an RDO service technician, you will earn an hourly wage that’s competitive within your market. Your wage will vary depending on your level of experience and the job type. We also offer a quarterly profit-sharing program that is based on department and personal performance.
Yes, RDO service technicians may have access to overtime hours. This fluctuates based on the workload of each store.

Yes! Through our career path levels, you can progress from service apprentice to service technician level 4.
It’s not uncommon for people to start at RDO in one of our service shops and then transition to another role, whether it's in the field or another part of our organization.
As a technician at RDO, you’ll work on new and used equipment from one, or many, of our manufacturer partners. These are John Deere Construction, John Deere Agriculture, Vermeer, Wirtgen and Topcon. The equipment you work on will change based on your location.
Generally, our hiring process includes a completed application, 1-2 in-person interviews (usually the first is with the hiring manager, the second is with a panel) and a role-fit assessment. This process may be shorter or longer, depending on the situation. All offers are contingent on a favorable drug screening and background check.
All RDO service technicians receive uniforms and laundering services. RDO technicians get the option to choose between jeans or work pants. Additionally, you’ll receive an annual allowance for work boots.
