Once a year, tree care companies, arborists and other industry professionals from across the country come together and volunteer their time to honor American service men and women. Saluting Branches, the event host, coordinates tree and landscape care for properties dedicated to those who gave everything.
This year, during the 10th annual Saluting Branches Day of Service, RDO Equipment Co., Rainbow Treecare and many more packed up their equipment and joined forces at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Unfortunately, cemeteries often lack the funding needed for essential maintenance, including tree removal and landscape care. This is where supporters like RDO and Rainbow Treecare are proud to step in and help.
Neil W., a Vermeer Regional Sales Manager at RDO, expressed, “This is a small sacrifice for us to come out here. Those who are buried here made the ultimate sacrifice, allowing us to do what we do every day. I’m extremely thankful to be here.”
The spirit of gratitude and partnership was evident throughout the day. Whether scooping debris with a John Deere 554P loader, grinding it down to size with a Vermeer HG6800 TX Horizontal Grinder, or doing clean-up with a Deere 317G skid steer or Vermeer articulated loader, volunteers put the tools and expertise of their trade to work for a single cause.
With boots on the ground and a common goal, RDO, Rainbow Treecare and the other partners who supported Saluting Branches exemplified that strong partnerships generate even stronger impacts on our communities.
“One of RDO’s core values is We Do What We Say. Everybody that has been laid to rest out here, they did what they said they would do. When the volunteer event happens each year, it’s a yes without hesitation,” said Mark R., Vermeer Regional Manager, says as he reflects on the day.
